A new year begins...

Here it is, January 2019, today we are still at home after having a fabulous Christmas with our kids and lots of celebrating through the holidays with our family and friends.

To catch you up, we have put SV Needfull Things on the market with hopes she will be found by folks who will enjoy her as much as we did.  We had a great time living the mariners life, but we are changing directions and have recently purchased a travel trailer.

The trailer is a Rockwood Geo Pro, 20 feet long, just light enough for our car to pull, and the perfect size for the two of us.  We are very happy with it, lots of neat features including solar power, even an electric mattress on our bed.  I haven't yet come up with a name for her, but I'm sure one will come to mind along the way.

We have completed our trailer maiden journey to Ontario this past fall to attend Al's nieces' wedding and to celebrate his moms 90th birthday.  We were away for more than a month so had lots of time to adapt to this new style of nomad life. We also had lots of visit time with Al's siblings for the first time in a long time, instead of just short stints.  We helped as we could with the wedding preparations, including hosting a pancake breakfast.  We upped the gauntlet with artsy pancakes, trying to keep up with the fabulous pig roast that the grooms family hosted....

We will be heading south soon, when the roads clear enough and long enough for us to steal away and get clear of the snow.  The hope is to head south until the snow disappears, then head east.  We need to get back to Florida to retrieve a few things that we left behind when we came home last spring.  This time we will explore more of inland Florida, perhaps some of Georgia, and all the states between here and there. Lots to see and do.

So, keep an eye here for further adventures...
